Time Out alum Sennett joins Crain's as digital chief

"Frank brings to CCB a great business sense, an appreciation of the great journalism we do, the skill and desire to build our existing digital ventures and the drive and creativity to launch new ones," Crain’s Publisher David Snyder said in an internal memo announcing the news. "Just as important, he has the smarts and disposition to fit in well with Crain’s collegial and collaborative culture."

Opening the next scene in RogerEbert.com’s expansion, Ebert Digital elevates Frank Sennett, an award-winning Chicago journalist and author, to the position of interim Chief Operating Officer.
Sennett, previously President and Editor-in-Chief of Time Out Chicago, is charged with building the reach and the revenue streams of the revamped RogerEbert.com.
“From the moment Frank joined our board, he infused his love for film with sharp wit, layered on a bedrock of journalistic insight and business instinct,” said Chaz Ebert, owner of Ebert Digital and Publisher of RogerEbert.com. “His track record as a leader speaks for itself.”
